Hero Background

We Train Problem Solvers. Not Certificate Collectors.

Let's be honest about something.

Nigeria is not short of certificates. Udemy certificates. Bootcamp certificates. Six-week-crash-course certificates. What Nigeria is short of — what the whole world is short of — is people who can sit in front of a broken system, stay calm, and fix it.

That gap is the reason Innovatio Academy exists.

We're builders ourselves. We've shipped real software for real businesses, and we've sat on the other side of the hiring table.

Students learning software engineering

One standard. Two crafts.

Build systems or defend them. Either way, the training runs on the same four rules.

Foundations built by hand

Engineers write JavaScript, then TypeScript, every line by hand for twelve weeks. Defenders (Cybersecurity experts) build their own lab and live in Linux until the terminal feels like home. One rule across both tracks: the fundamentals live in your fingers before any tool touches your work.

Real systems, real stakes

Engineers ship code reviewed line by line, deployed on live infrastructure and wired to Paystack, so it moves real money. Defenders break into deliberately vulnerable machines in authorised labs, then switch sides, harden their own systems, and watch those same attacks fail. Nobody here graduates from a slideshow.

AI with discipline

One doctrine for the whole academy: AI assists, you verify, you decide. Engineers direct AI the way seniors do, with precise instructions and ruthless review. Defenders catch what the human eye misses, from machine-perfect phishing to voice-clone fraud, and triage at ten times human speed. Tools change. Judgement is the job.

Proof, then income

Every graduate leaves with a capstone that works: a live product taking real payments, or a documented incident investigation. Add a portfolio that reads like evidence and interviews drilled until the questions stop scaring you, then choose your path: local role, international remote, or freelance and authorised bug bounty work.

Our Courses

Two tracks. One standard. Choose the one that fits the engineer you intend to become.

SOFTWARE ENGINEERING IN THE AGE OF AI

AI Didn’t Kill the Developer Job. It Killed the Mediocre Developer Job.

You’ve heard the rumors: "Why learn to code? AI writes code now."

Here’s the reality inside actual tech companies: AI writes code fast, confidently, and frequently wrong enough to sink a business. Someone must know the difference. Someone must design the system, catch the bugs AI swears aren’t there, and take responsibility when real money is on the line. That someone gets paid incredibly well to do their job.

The "typist-developer" who simply memorizes syntax and copies tutorials is finished. Good riddance! But the engineer who thinks in systems and wields AI like a power tool? Companies are always eager to hire them to join their teams before a competitor does.

CYBERSECURITY IN THE AGE OF AI

Every Company Is Under Attack. Almost Nobody Is Guarding the Door.

Right now, while you read this, a hacker is probing a Nigerian bank's network. Someone is sending a flawless fake invoice to a Lagos import business. Someone else is testing stolen credentials against a fintech app your friends use daily.

This isn't a scary story. It’s just a regular Tuesday.

Nigerian businesses lose billions of naira to fraud and data breaches annually. Globally, the crisis is even worse: hospitals locked out of critical patient records, infrastructure held to ransom, and desperate companies quietly paying off attackers because no one in the building knows how to stop them.

Here is the number that should make you sit up: there are millions of cybersecurity roles worldwide that companies simply cannot fill. The demand aggressively outruns the supply, and the gap is widening by the day.

Then AI arrived, and it made the attacks even more dangerous.

Curriculum

Both tracks, side by side. Compare what you will actually be able to do after six months.

Curriculum Highlights: Software Engineering

The 6-Month Roadmap, Condensed

Every card below represents a core capability you will graduate with—each one proven by real, shipped projects that employers can open, test, and inspect.

1
JavaScript & TypeScript from Zero

Write raw JavaScript from a blank file and understand every single line. Then, layer on TypeScript—the industry standard that catches bugs early—to write elite, dependable code.

2
Build APIs with Node.js

Design and build the invisible engines of the internet. Using Node.js and TypeScript, you’ll architect REST APIs that handle authentication, user inputs, and errors without breaking a sweat.

3
Design Databases with PostgreSQL

Model and store data in PostgreSQL like a professional. You’ll design clean, scalable database architectures that stay fast under pressure and make sense to any engineer who inherits them.

4
Frontend Interfaces with React

Build modern, interactive user interfaces using React and TypeScript, then hook them up to your backends. What you build will look and feel flawless on both a phone in Lagos and a laptop in London.

5
Testing & Debugging Discipline

Stop guessing and start engineering. You’ll write automated test suites to ensure your code survives real-world updates, and learn to trace and destroy bugs methodically.

6
Command AI Coding Tools

Wield AI like a seasoned power user. You’ll learn how to scope architecture, prompt precisely, and ruthlessly audit AI output—remaining the master of every line of code that ships under your name.

7
Ship to the Real Internet

Deploy live software. You’ll master hosting, environments, and Docker basics (the global standard for packaging software to run anywhere), launching your applications onto the actual internet.

8
Work Like a Real Team

Adopt the true rhythm of tech companies. You’ll manage Git workflows, crush sprint tickets, submit pull requests, and conduct code reviews so that your first day on a real job feels entirely familiar.

Tools you will master: JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, React, Git & GitHub, Docker, and cutting-edge AI coding assistants.

No coding background required. Bring commitment; we supply the rest.

6 Months of Hands-On Defense, at a Glance

No slideshows. Every card below is a real-world defensive skill you will practice inside authorized hacking labs and prove through professional technical reports.

1
Networks & Systems Ground Truth

Deconstruct how the internet actually moves data: TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP, alongside the Windows and Linux operating systems. You cannot secure what you cannot explain.

2
Linux & Command Line Fluency

Ditch the point-and-click interface. You’ll drive operating systems entirely from the terminal—the text interface where real security work happens—turning what looks like wizardry into an ordinary tool.

3
Find Web Application Flaws

Hunt down vulnerabilities from the OWASP Top 10 (the global standard for web exploits). You’ll learn to spot weaknesses and translate them into clear, actionable advice that developers can use to patch them.

4
Ethical Hacking, Done Legally

Learn the complete attacker methodology inside strictly authorized sandboxes. You’ll master reconnaissance, network scanning, and exploitation, with ethics and cyber law baked into every lesson.

5
Monitor Like a SOC Analyst

Step into the shoes of a Security Operations Center analyst. Using enterprise SIEM tools, you’ll hunt through millions of rows of system logs to pinpoint the one line of malicious traffic.

6
Respond When Attacks Land

Manage high-stakes security incidents without panic. You’ll turn threat containment, digital forensics, and incident report writing into a practiced, highly structured routine.

7
Secure the Cloud

Protect the modern, rented infrastructure businesses run on. You’ll lock down cloud environments using Identity and Access Management (IAM) and intercept the exact misconfigurations attackers actively hunt for.

8
Defend Against AI-Era Attacks

Neutralize the new frontline of cyber crime. Train specifically to recognize hyper-realistic AI phishing, deepfake fraud, and prompt injection attacks targeting machine learning models.

No IT background required. Bring curiosity and stubbornness; we supply the battlefield.

The investment

No hidden fees. No surprise "exam fee" in month three. One price, stated upfront, like adults.

Software engineering in the age of AI

Pay once: ₦350,000

Or split it: ₦400,000 in total. ₦160,000 secures your seat, then ₦120,000 in month 2 and ₦120,000 in month 4.

Cybersecurity in the age of AI

Pay once: ₦400,000

Or split it: ₦450,000 in total. ₦180,000 secures your seat, then ₦135,000 in month 2 and ₦135,000 in month 4.

Why does splitting cost more? A straight answer: because we carry the risk and the admin of collecting in parts. If you can pay once, pay once and keep the difference.

Every payment runs through Paystack, so your card details never touch our servers. Your seat is confirmed the moment your first payment lands.

Registration closes on 7th of September, 2026. Next Cohort Starts 21st of September, 2026.

The Broken Loop to Global Remote Work

Before Innovatio, I was stuck in a loop of copying YouTube tutorials and feeling like an imposter. The 'no-AI for 4 months' rule sounded brutal, but it completely changed my brain. By month four, I had built an entire API from scratch and hosted it myself. Last week, I signed my contract as a remote Junior Developer for a European logistics firm. I’m working from my house in Lekki, earning in Euros. If you bring the grit, this place gives you the actual career.
